With a workforce of nearly 4,000 people across our quarries, manufacturing sites, and concrete facilities, we understand the importance of taking a strong stance against modern slavery and human trafficking.
We are committed to protecting the rights and wellbeing of everyone connected to our business- from employees and contractors to those within our supply chain. We believe in creating a fair and equal environment where everyone is treated with dignity, no matter their role or location.
Our approach to ethical sourcing goes beyond compliance. We embed responsible practices into every part of our operation, prioritising safe, fair, and sustainable working conditions across our supply chain. Through ongoing risk assessment and continuous improvement of our policies and procedures, we proactively address human rights concerns, including modern slavery and broader sustainability issues.
This statement reflects our continued support for the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We work closely with employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to raise awareness, reduce risk, and create a more transparent and responsible business.
The Global Slavery Index 2023
Modern slavery affects millions worldwide, often hidden in everyday products and services.
In 2021, an estimated 50 million people were living in modern slavery - 10 million more than in 2016.
Walk Free’s Global Slavery Index provides national estimates across 160 countries, based on interviews with survivors and household surveys in 75 countries.
